MINDFULNESS COURSE OFFERING

AT CENTER CHURCH

Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30

February 5 to March 5, 2014

Jennifer Markow and Linda Vincent invite you to be part of a 5-week mindfulness course that they will teach at CenterChurch, beginning on February 5.  This is an introductory-level course, based on the principles of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.

Using mindfulness, we will explore what it is like to become awake to our lives so that we can connect with what is most true for each of us.  This kind of practice often leads to a greater sense of well-being and also allows us to live more fully and to love more deeply. In class, participants will learn various methods of practicing mindfulness, including: sitting meditation, walking meditation, mindful movement, and the body scan.  It is strongly recommended that participants attend all 5 classes and practice mindful meditation at home for a minimum of 15 minutes per day.

If you would like to join us, please speak to Thia to request registration materials and cost information.  This course is limited to 20 participants and members of CenterChurch are given the opportunity for early registration before it is open to community members in mid-January.
